Want to learn simple, low effort vegan meat recipes? You’ve come to the right place! No matter your reason, I’m here to help. I created Seitanic Creations with the goal of helping people learn about seitan, and show how it can be a delicious alternative to meat. To start, seitan is a wheat gluten based source of protein that packs flavor and texture together unlike other vegan proteins I’ve tried. All it takes to start learning is an automatic breadmaker and 10 minutes of your time to make your first loaf. From there, you can begin an adventure for your mouth with my other recipes.
To go ahead and hop on in, get started with the Black Pepper Loaf. It’s the most basic of the seitanic loaves, and you can use it in any recipe that calls for beef. Then choose any of the processed seitan recipes corresponding, and enjoy a delicious dinner.
If you are unfamiliar with seitan, you can find more information here. To be brief, seitan is a wheat based protein source made from gluten. Gluten often gets a bad rap, but if you don’t have a sensitivity to it it’s pretty great – it creates this stringy, rubbery texture that can easily be mistaken as meat in some recipes. Sadly, seitan is often pricey in stores and most recipes require a long involved process. I’ve developed a quicker way, as linked above in the Seitanic Black Pepper Loaf.
